If I take my pet to Dr. Jeffers, what
role will my veterinarian play?
The services provided by a specialist should be an extension of those
offered by your general veterinarian.
As such, Dr. Jeffers requires a copy of your pet’s medical records
or a completed veterinary referral form to be faxed to his office or
brought with you and your pet to your first visit. The record of
treatments and diagnostic tests performed by your veterinarian will
provide vital information, prevent unnecessary repetition of
procedures and generally expedite the diagnosis and treatment of your
pet’s skin problem.
Almost each time you visit Dr. Jeffers, he will send a letter to your
veterinarian updating him or her on your pet’s progress. This
information will be kept in your pet’s medical file.
Excellent communication between Dr. Jeffers and your veterinarian is
invaluable in providing the best care possible for your pet.
